As we progress through the summer quarter, I’d like to share the IT Executive Dashboard and a few notable highlights with you.
- The Ascend 2.0 program announced the launch date for BruinBuy Plus as January 2, 2024. Training will commence in November to effectively prepare the campus for the upcoming system transition.
- The FACET program continued to move forward with the mainframe updates needed to accommodate the new FAFSA for the ’24-’25 award year, as well as the implementation phase of Oracle’s Student Financial Planning (SFP) for the ’25-’26 award year.
- The HR IT Systems Optimization (HRITSO) program team has finalized the new project plan, encompassing the deployment of HR Service Delivery, JDXpert, and iCIMS, along with the phasing out of PeopleAdmin. A campuswide announcement is set for early fall to mark the beginning of this initiative.
- The Bruin Voice program, encompassing our campuswide transition to Zoom Phone, kicked off the last softphone migration wave and is on track to complete the softphone deployment by mid-November.
- Bruin Secure is actively building out a multi-year roadmap designed to enhance UCLA’s security posture through an array of cybersecurity initiatives. The official launch of the endeavor is strategically aligned with Cyber Security Month in October.
