System Administration

System Administration alleviates the burden and liability of server patching, monitoring and security for a low monthly fee.

System Administration services are available for Windows and Linux based systems located within the Campus Data Center.


Two levels of service are available: Standard & Extended support.

  • Standard support provides support during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00AM–5:00PM
  • Extended support provides support 24/7/365

Standard System Support Package

IT Services' Standard support service includes the following services available Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm:

  • Patching of operating system software
  • Upgrades of operating systems
  • Security software, including firewall configuration
  • Monitoring to ensure proper operation, including optimized performance, connectivity, and disk usage
  • Coordination of upgrades, adds and changes to existing service configuration
  • Cycle/restart servers or hosted services on customer requests
  • Consultation with customers pre- and post-sales on a recharge basis at the hourly labor rate

Extended System Support Package

IT Services' Extended support service includes all functions and items in the standard support service described above, but planned for and performed during off-business hours. In addition, the service includes:

  • Ongoing deployment of OS patches and updates
  • Basic OS monitoring
  • 24x7x365 incident notification and ticket generation
  • System log monitoring
  • Hardware monitoring
  • Consultation and capacity planning
