Special Event: “CareConnect Technology: What Is It and How Does It Work?

Attend the UCLA Tech Talk on July 18th at the California NanoSystems Insitute (CNSI) auditorium.

You’re invited to attend the UCLA Tech Talk on July 18th at the California NanoSystems Insitute (CNSI) auditorium. Designed for UCLA’s technology services providers, Tech Talk is a partnership among Information Technology Services, the Office of Information Technology, and Medical Information Systems Technology, and it’s open to anyone interested in learning about current and future technology solutions on campus.

This summer’s Tech Talk will feature UCLA Health System’s new electronic health records system, CareConnect. From 2-3:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 18th, the project’s executive and technical leaders will provide a CareConnect overview, including information on network design, user experience and related systems. There also will be time for a Q&A afterward.

CareConnect’s development began several years ago, with the purpose of providing UCLA patients a single, electronic record containing all medical services provided by the Health System. Since its recent implementation, more than 18,000 employees in four hospitals and 250 clinical locations have been trained in its use. Find out how this was all accomplished by attending Tech Talk on July 18th at 2:00 p.m., at the CNSI Auditorium.
