Recap of Cloud Services Communications Forum

Documentation for IT Services Communication Forum can be found here.

IT Services hosted a successful communications forum for nearly 200 of our campus customers at the Faculty Center on Monday, December 1. Associate Vice Chancellor Andrew Wissmiller gave a brief overview of the cloud services now offered at UCLA.

Quyen Vaillant, Web Content and Strategy Manager, gave a presentation and demo of Box, a cloud storage and collaboration solution offered to faculty, staff, and departments. Mark Bower, Director of Data Center and Campuswide Initiatives, got everyone up to speed on Google Workspace for UCLA, now available for staff and faculty, as well as Office 365, which is being offered to departments using Enterprise Messaging. Mark also talked about the retirement of the Bruin OnLine servers, which is scheduled for this winter, 2015.

If you missed the presentations, please see the related information box where you can view or download them. You can also find additional details on the cloud services Web page, and you are always welcome to contact us at help@it.ucla.edu with questions.

We hope to see you at our next communications forum!
