Google Docs Gmail Phishing Scam

There is a recent phishing scam that impersonates a Google Docs invitation request: After you open the email, click on the link, and log into your Google account, you are asked to allow “Google Docs” full access, including reading and writing, to your Google email. However, the app requesting access to your email is actually a third-party app impersonating Google Docs.

Google has since disabled this third-party app in question. However, users should still be cautious whenever a website or app asks permission to read or write to your Google account.
