Confluence (aka Spaces) Outage: Resolved

We've now expanded access to Confluence to allow users from other UC campuses to log in.

Update, 4/15/19, 10:20 a.m. — We've now expanded access to Confluence to allow users from other UC campuses to log in. If you're from another UC campus and are still experiencing issues logging in, please contact the IT Support Center at (310) 825-8000 or help@it.ucla.edu to open a ticket, and we'll work to get you access.

Update, 4/14/19, 2 a.m.—This issue has been resolved. The root cause of the outage was determined to be the result of a cyber attack targeting vulnerable Confluence systems. The IT Security office worked with the System Operations team to quickly respond to and remediate the server. To minimize the risk of future attacks, the system will be restricted to UCLA IP space only. External users are advised to connect to campus via VPN in order to access this server.

Confluence/Spaces has been restored from a backup and is now back to normal operation. Any files created after the backup may need to be recreated. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

If you’re still experiencing issues with this service, please contact the IT Support Center at (310) 825-8000 or help@it.ucla.edu.
